Glastherm^®

Glastherm® is a fiberglass reinforced, mineral filled sheet bonded with heat resistant thermosetting resins. This highly durable composite is precision finished to close dimensional tolerances, with less than half the thermal conductivity of asbestos concrete. Plus, it’s rugged enough to provide years of service. In most cases, a Glastherm investment will be returned in less than a year.

When installed on the base of a mold, Glastherm sheet will reduce heat transfer between mold and press platen, and contribute to consistent temperatures within the mold. With heated molds, less plant ventilation is needed.
